The complete toolbox for testing and analyzing high, medium and low voltage circuit breakers

 

Total function of circuit breaker test system (time test) is to collect and save the data quality related to circuit breaker (disconnector switch, breaker) in offline state at which we can make decision about breakers performance quality based on this data.

 

 Also this system simulates all related maneuvers on breakers such as: Open, Close, Close-Open, Open-delay-Close, Close-delay-Open and Open-delay-Close-Open. And it extracts electro mechanical data of different parts such as: main and auxiliary contacts, open/ close coils and spring charge engine With these information we can be sure of breaker correct performance and we prepare essential prediction for the future.

Time test: 

  • Measurement, analyzing and sampling of open/ close time of contacts considering to   issued command such as: Open, Close, Close-Open, Open-delay-Close, Close-delay-Open and Open-delay-Close-Open.
  • Measurement, analyzing and sampling of Out of Sync of three main contacts
  • Measurement, analyzing and sampling of contacts bouncing time when there is open or close.
  • Measurement, analyzing and sampling of spring charge time.

 

 

Travel test:

  • Measurement, analyzing and sampling of close/ open speed of contacts
  • Measurement, analyzing and sampling of minimum and maximum course of contacts.
  • Measurement, analyzing, sampling and calculating of rebounce, over travel and draw of damping lines.
  • Measurement, analyzing and sampling of spring course of contacts.
  • Measurement, analyzing, and sampling of upper and lower safety limits of contacts.

 

 

Coils/ Motor Current and Voltage Test:

  • Measurement, analyzing and sampling of voltage and current of open/ close coils (Ac, Dc).
  • Measurement, analyzing and sampling of voltage and current of blocking relay (Ac, Dc). (optional)
  • Measurement, analyzing and sampling of voltage and current and performance of anti-pumping relay (Ac,Dc). (optional)
  • Measurement, analyzing and sampling of current and voltage and performance of spring charge motor (Ac,Dc).
  • And other tests which are defined based on customer needs.

 

 

Hardware abilities:

  • Ability to test T and V breakers
  • Sampling rate of inputs: 10 KHz.
  • Having one additive encoder input and one inputs for linear sensors.
  • Curve drawing of tests results.
  • Storage ability of 96 tests in internal memory and transferring them to the computer.
  • Ability to print test result by internal printer.
  • Two inputs for coils and one for motor for voltage determination (No difference with DC and AC).
  • Measurement and sampling of current of coils and motor.
  • Having 16 inputs for contacts (three main contacts and 13 auxiliary contacts).
  • Exciting of one close coil and two open coils.
  • Ability to connect to two types of power supply: manual or controllable with computer made by Tapco Company.
  • Connect to computer via USB & RS232 ports

Software abilities:

  1. Getting breaker specifications from user and storing.
  2. Possibility to test breakers respect to factory needs.
  3. Automatic gathering and storing some breaker information such as motion curve, coil current curve, motor current curve, minimum voltage of coil operation, under voltage relay, anti-pumping relay and blocking coil current
  4. Curve enlargement and ability to simultaneously display of two maneuvers from one breaker or two different breakers.
  5. Calculating speed of close and open maneuvers and coil current in each point of motion curve pointing by mouse
  6. Calculating contacts movement, contacts speed, overtravel, rebounce, safety limits, contacts operation time, maximum coil and motor current, charging spring time and …
  7. Display linear sensors and encoder state, contacts state, voltage amount and power supply output current.
  8. Ability to determine test parameters such as sampling duration time, time of applying voltage on coils based on type of breaker.
  9. Ability to determine a permitted limits for parameters like speed and operation time of open/ close and review or announce the results in a table after doing any opening or closing maneuver.
